First-Time Homebuyer Classes
Are you ready to buy a home?
The Minnesota Chippewa Tribe Finance Corporation (MCTFC) finances mortgages for existing homes, new construction of homes, and renovation loans on homes that the MCTFC finances or are owned outright (no current mortgage) for qualifying members of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe (MCT). A requirement for financing is a first-time homebuyer class/course certificate.
MCTFC provides a free first-time homebuyer class with informative resources on the home-buying process for fee and leased land. Our first-time homebuyer class is taught by a certified homebuyer education professional, with presentations from local real estate agents, home inspectors and others. It is highly recommended that in-person classes are attended, whether they are provided by the MCTFC or a local homebuyer education class in your area. However, if you are unable to attend an in-person class then MCTFC also accepts online course certificates from the Online Homebuyer Education – Minnesota Homeownership Center.
