Health and Human Services
Overview
The Human Services Division provides services to tribal members to improve their overall health and wellbeing which include: assisting them with obtaining and retaining employment, addressing barriers that prevent them from pursuing their self-growth and life goals, and basic work related training and mentoring to become self-sufficient. Also, there is education and training available to individuals who work within tribally-owned and operated chemical dependency treatment programs.
Mission
The mission of the Human Services Division of the Minnesota Chippewa Tribe is to provide a circle of quality services to elders, families and children within the tribal community by promoting self-sufficiency through health, wellness, employment, education, cultural identity, advocacy and training.
